Born into a small Franconian village in the middle of Germany, I always felt a strong desire to travel. After graduating from high school and earning my Abitur (diploma), I started studying at the well-known University of Bamberg, majoring in English, German and Political Science. In 2013, I applied for the exchange program offered by Bamberg and soon found myself in St. Joseph, Missouri.

After two semesters at Missouri Western State University, I decided to transfer in earnest and seek a degree in Convergent Journalism. Since then, I have worked as the Editor-in-Chief of Missouri Western’s student newspaper, President of the Missouri College Media Association, Events Chair of Missouri Western’s National Society of Leadership and Success chapter and as a Multimedia Journalist at the St. Joseph News-Press & Gazette.
